Project overview

The Nyngan to Cobar Pipeline Stage 1 project will upgrade infrastructure in the Nyngan to Cobar Water Supply System. This will provide long-term water supply reliability and water security for the Cobar region. 

The Nyngan and Hermidale pumping stations are old and cannot be repaired. Replacing the pumping stations will prevent a catastrophic failure in the supply system.

Construction is expected to commence in late-2025 and be completed in late 2026.

Project overview

This project will construct a new pipeline to connect Mount Morgan’s water supply to the Rockhampton water supply network.

The pipeline will support water security for the regional town of Mount Morgan, which is near Rockhampton in Central Queensland. Having reliable drinking water will help the town to grow and provide development opportunities for its community.
