The project was jointly funded by the Australian Government ($1 million) and the Western Australian Government ($2.6 million). Australian Government funding was provided through the National Water Grid Fund.
The business case includes preparatory works for a dam and distribution network.
Project overview
The project finalised the new water security approach for the Southern Forests area. It included:
- investigations of potential engineering designs
- updated climate and water availability modelling.
The project was completed in August 2023.
