The project constructed a 4 km water pipeline extension from an existing distribution network to extend the supply of high-quality recycled water in the Warwick Industrial Estate.

The project is supplying recycled water to additional agricultural and industrial users. It has built drought resilience, increased reliability and contributed to secure and affordable supply for users.

Who's involved

The $0.6 million project was jointly funded by the Australian Government ($0.3 million) and the Southern Downs Regional Council ($0.3 million).

Australian Government funding was provided through the National Water Grid Fund.

The project was completed in February 2021.
