The project would aim to construct a transfer pipeline, pumping infrastructure and distribution pipelines to enable recycled water use in the Sunbury- Bulla-Keilor agricultural area.

The pipeline aims to unlock existing dryland, irrigated cropping and grazing land, and also provide an alternate water source for the Sunbury-Bulla-Keilor region agricultural areas.

The preliminary business case will:

  • determine infrastructure requirements and design; 
  • undertake cost estimates and cost benefit analysis;
  • develop construction timeframes; and
  • undertake due diligence for planning, cultural heritage and environmental issues.
Who's involved

The $0.5 million project is jointly funded by the Australian Government ($0.3 million), the Victorian Government and other partners ($0.3 million).
