The project will construct an off-stream 15GL storage dam on Record Brook near Manjimup and an approximately 250km pipeline distribution network.

The project will provide increased water security to underpin expansion of irrigated horticulture in the region.

Who's involved

The Australian Government has made a commitment of $39.7 million to the project. The total cost of the project is still to be confirmed through the finalisation of the Business Case process.

Australian Government Funding source

Australian Government funding is provided through the National Water Grid Fund.

The project is currently in the planning stage. The Southern Forest Irrigation Scheme business case is currently underway.
