The project will upgrade an existing water reclamation plant by installing an ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis plant to improve quality and volume of supply.
The project will ensure secure, predictable supplies of water now and into the future. The project will increase the volume of recycled water and improve the quality to Class B. This involves upgrading the Portarlington Water Reclamation Plant.
Who's involved
The project is jointly funded by the Australian Government ($5.5 million), the Victorian Government ($2 million) and other partners ($3.6 million).

Australian Government funding is provided through the National Water Grid Fund.
Project status
Construction is expected to be completed in mid 2024.
