Hinterland Recycled Water Feasibility Study
The project will include the design and investigation of the economic feasibility of extracting Class A treated water from the South Eastern Outflow pipeline and delivering it to Mornington Hinterland farmers, providing the potential to enhance agricultural production.
The business case will include:
- Identification of agricultural demands for recycled water and benefits/beneficiaries, and
- Completion of economic feasibility assessment and final report.
The $0.7 million project is jointly funded by the Australian Government ($0.3 million) and the Victorian Government ($0.4 million).
Australian Government funding is provided through the National Water Grid Fund.
The project is underway, with the business case expected to be completed in early 2022.
