The strategic business case will investigate and assess options for reinstating the delivery capacity of water across Barmah Choke on the Murray River.

The strategic business case will undertake an assessment of:

  • technical Investigations, designs and costings;
  • policy implications, including the potential risks of the options;
  • initial recommendations; and
  • summary of stakeholder engagement.
Who's involved

The $3 million project is funded by the Australian Government.

Australian Government Funding source

Australian Government funding is provided through the National Water Grid Fund.

Project status

The project is currently in planning, with the strategic business case expected to be complete in late 2022.
